Research interests, topics

Our research area is combinatorial optimization theory. We aim to provide algorithms with theoretical guarantee for combinatorial optimization problems. In addition, we would like to reveal the best-possible guarantee and a structure that makes optimization problems easy or difficult.

• I strongly recommend you to take a look at some books about combinatorial optimization theory. Please think carefully of your choice.
• We do not accept research students. We accept only students who already belong to Tokyo Tech or pass the entrance exam. For the adimission information, see also the official page. If you have any questions about the exams, please ask the Admissions Division.
• Please send me your research plan of at least 2 pages before applying for the exam.
• Before sending me an email, make sure that
  • your interest matches our research area and direction,
  • you have enough background knowledge, and
  • you have enough financial support.
